I had a great time talking with Aaron Flores and Glenys Oyston on Dietitians Unplugged. It was such a rich conversation, and I enjoyed getting to know them both. I was so happy to see the title for the episode; it is so helpful for both clinicians and clients to wade into the unknowns that come up in eating disorder treatment and body image work and then sit with the discomfort that arises.
Let me know what you think of the episode and be sure to listen to some of their other amazing episodes as well!
I’m excited to announce that I will begin leading a restaurant exposure meal group beginning April 1st 2020.
This meal group is appropriate for:
- Recovery-minded individuals
- Those who would benefit from sitting with fullness
- Those who struggle with rigidity
- Those who primarily rely on safe foods
- Those who would benefit from conversations about weight stigma, body diversity, and flexible eating
- Those who would benefit from support with food goals
- Those who would struggle to normalize eating restaurant meals
- Those transitioning from IOP to outpatient care
The group is affordable, thus will need at least 4 people to run.
Submit questions or request for a group screen at the “contact Jessica” tab.
Welcome to my new website! I hope that it starts an ongoing conversation in the fields that involve eating and bodies. Check it out, stay a while, and be in touch!
