Black stories are a vital part of the world healing.

Rawiyah Tariq and Jessica Wilson, MS. RD. will brought you the wit and wisdom cultivated in their own Queer Black bodies together with the accounts of others’ to facilitate cultural healing and embodiment in this limited podcast.  Collectively, they have over twenty years of experience in actively redefining what body liberation can look like while healing damage done by white centric therapeutic modalities.

For over a decade Rawiyah has utilized burlesque, storytelling, massage and witchery as mediums to decolonize the self and reintegrate self-sovereignty.

Jessica leads radical community conversations about body justice, and has over 10 years’ experience as a dietitian supporting clients with disordered eating patterns. She recently co-created the viral #amplifymelanatedvoices challenge which called for conversations about social justice and bodies to be lead by those most marginalized.

Together, Jessica and Rawiyah blend anecdotal with the empirical for a poignant analysis of their existence and experiences within their Black bodies. Their  approach to sensitive and sometimes overwhelming subject matter exposes a fierce vulnerability with directness.
